Not a franchisee or a truck driver from a booking system. The bloke who quotes it is the bloke who loads it.
He does the lifting
No bags to fill, no skip to load. Leave it in a pile and he loads it, sweeps up and takes it away.
Priced off your pile
Not a bin size. A heap beside the driveway and one at the bottom of a steep yard are different jobs and get different prices.
A straight no when it’s a no
Standing tree, asbestos, or more rubbish than garden — he tells you before he starts, not after.
What Ross does
Green waste removal services in Bundoora
A pruning pile hauled away and a few bags of leaf litter collected is the usual combination on a Bundoora block.
Green Waste Removal Bundoora
Piles of prunings, branches, hedge trimmings, leaves and weeds that won't fit in the green bin. Ross backs the trailer in, loads it himself and takes it away to be recycled — you don't lift a thing.
Natives, hedges and courtyard prunings.
Garden & Yard Clean-Ups Bundoora
Doing a big garden clean-up — overgrown beds, a back corner nobody has touched in years, a rental between tenants or a property being tidied for sale? Pile it all up and Ross collects the lot in one visit.
Student rentals and family homes tidied.
Fire Season Clean-Ups Bundoora
Fallen limbs, shed bark, leaf litter and dry prunings gathered up from around the house — the fine fuel that matters most in a grassfire or ember attack. Collected and taken away before the Fire Danger Period starts.
Dry native litter cleared before summer.
Fallen Branch & Storm Clean-Up Bundoora
A gum has dropped a limb across the driveway, or a windy night has left the yard covered. Ross collects what's come down and hauls it away. Standing trees and hung-up limbs are an arborist's job — once they've dropped it, Ross can take it away.
What green waste removal in Bundoora actually involves
Bundoora is a big, spread-out suburb split between three councils, stretching either side of Plenty Road from Bundoora Park and La Trobe University up past the ring road. Much of the housing went up in the 1970s and 80s: brick veneer family homes in quiet courts and crescents, on blocks with a decent front garden and room out the back.
Those gardens were often planted with natives when native gardens were the fashion — grevilleas, bottlebrush, wattles, tea-tree and the odd gum — and forty-odd years later they are big, woody and in need of a hard cut. That’s a lot of garden waste, and Ross takes it away in one trip rather than a year of green bins.
Loaded by hand, strapped down, and off to the green waste facility.
Seventies natives that need a hard cut
Native shrubs planted in the 70s and 80s have usually gone one of two ways: leggy and sparse, or dense and taking over the front yard. Either way, the fix is a hard prune or removal, and that produces heavy, twiggy bulk that doesn’t fit in a bin.
Wattles and some grevilleas also have a limited life and tend to die off in patches. Dead shrubs are brittle and light once they are out of the ground — Ross loads them and takes them with the rest.

Rentals near the universities
With La Trobe and the RMIT Bundoora campus close by, plenty of houses are student or share rentals. Gardens at those places tend to get ignored until the end of the lease, then everything needs doing at once.
Once the overgrowth is cut back and the weeds pulled, Ross removes all the green waste in one go. Property managers can book it directly and arrange access with Ross.
Courts and easy loading
The court layout helps. Most Bundoora houses have a wide driveway and a double-width nature strip, so the trailer can usually get close to the pile. That keeps the loading time down.
Where the pile is behind a locked side gate or down a slope into the back yard, mention it when you book. Ross can carry it; it just takes longer.

Spring prune, summer ready
Native shrubs respond best to a prune after they flower, which for many Bundoora gardens is late spring. Book a green waste pickup to follow straight after, and you go into summer with the dry, twiggy growth gone rather than sitting in a pile beside the house.

The bloke doing it
Owner-operated, and it stays that way
Ross runs this on his own. He quotes the job, he turns up, he loads the trailer and he
takes it away — the same bloke every visit. There is no office in between, no skip
company, and no franchise cut coming out of what you pay.
It also means he will tell you when something isn't his job — a standing tree that
needs an arborist, or a pile that is more rubbish than garden — rather than taking the
money and leaving you with half a problem.
Green waste removal in Bundoora — common questions
Yes, all of Bundoora — north and south of the ring road, and either side of Plenty Road. Send a photo and the address and Ross will give you a price.
It depends on how much green waste there is, what it is, and how easily it gets to the trailer. Most Bundoora jobs have good driveway access, which helps. A photo or two is usually enough to price it without a visit.
Yes — once they have been cut down or pulled out, Ross loads them and takes them away. Large stumps and root balls need grinding or digging out separately.
Bundoora is split between Whittlesea, Darebin and Banyule. It matters if you’re checking tree permit rules — check with your council before anything significant is removed.
Household or hard rubbish, building waste, rubble, soil, treated timber, or anything that might contain asbestos. It’s green waste removal only, not general rubbish removal.

Thanks — that's gone through to Ross. Spring is his busiest time, so if it's close to fire season he may take a day or two.
