Not a franchisee or a truck driver from a booking system. The bloke who quotes it is the bloke who loads it.
He does the lifting
No bags to fill, no skip to load. Leave it in a pile and he loads it, sweeps up and takes it away.
Priced off your pile
Not a bin size. A heap beside the driveway and one at the bottom of a steep yard are different jobs and get different prices.
A straight no when it’s a no
Standing tree, asbestos, or more rubbish than garden — he tells you before he starts, not after.
What Ross does
Green waste removal services in Eaglemont
A pruning pile hauled away and a few bags of leaf litter collected is the usual combination on a Eaglemont block.
Green Waste Removal Eaglemont
Piles of prunings, branches, hedge trimmings, leaves and weeds that won't fit in the green bin. Ross backs the trailer in, loads it himself and takes it away to be recycled — you don't lift a thing.
Leaves and prunings from large gardens.
Garden & Yard Clean-Ups Eaglemont
Doing a big garden clean-up — overgrown beds, a back corner nobody has touched in years, a rental between tenants or a property being tidied for sale? Pile it all up and Ross collects the lot in one visit.
Clean-up waste from big heritage gardens, collected.
Fire Season Clean-Ups Eaglemont
Fallen limbs, shed bark, leaf litter and dry prunings gathered up from around the house — the fine fuel that matters most in a grassfire or ember attack. Collected and taken away before the Fire Danger Period starts.
Litter and dry growth cleared for summer.
Fallen Branch & Storm Clean-Up Eaglemont
A gum has dropped a limb across the driveway, or a windy night has left the yard covered. Ross collects what's come down and hauls it away. Standing trees and hung-up limbs are an arborist's job — once they've dropped it, Ross can take it away.
What green waste removal in Eaglemont actually involves
Eaglemont is a small, hilly suburb above Heidelberg and Ivanhoe. Part of it was laid out by Walter Burley Griffin as the Mount Eagle Estate, and the streets still curve around the contours of the hill rather than running in a grid. Houses sit on large, often steep blocks, surrounded by established gardens and tall trees.
That combination looks wonderful and creates a lot of work. Deciduous and native trees drop leaves and bark, hedges and shrubs grow big, and moving any of it up or down a slope is hard going. Ross comes out with the trailer, carries the green waste to the street and takes it for disposal.
Loaded by hand, strapped down, and off to the green waste facility.
Working on the slope
Many Eaglemont properties sit well above or below the road, with steps, retaining walls and terraces between the garden and the street. Winding streets can also make parking a trailer close to the house a challenge.
Ross is used to it. He brings the trailer as close as he safely can and carries the rest. Photos of the garden, the route out and the parking spot help get the quote right the first time.

Large gardens with big trees
Eaglemont gardens tend to be generous and mature, often with a mix of old exotic trees and native plantings. Autumn brings heavy leaf fall, and the gums shed bark and twigs through the year.
A regular green waste pickup helps keep on top of it, whether that's after the leaves have come down, after a big prune or whenever the pile needs shifting. There is no contract, just a booking when you need one.

Big trees and fallen branches
Large trees on a steep block can drop heavy limbs in a storm, sometimes onto paths, fences or steps. Once the branch is on the ground, Ross can load it up and take it away.
Anything still attached to the tree, or a tree that looks unstable, is a job for an arborist. Many trees in Banyule are protected, and heritage areas can add extra considerations, so check with the council before any removal.

Leaf season on the hill
Eaglemont gardens fill up with leaves from late April to June, and a slope makes it harder to keep on top of them. Booking a pickup early in the season, then again once the trees are bare, keeps paths safe and beds clear through winter.

The bloke doing it
Owner-operated, and it stays that way
Ross runs this on his own. He quotes the job, he turns up, he loads the trailer and he
takes it away — the same bloke every visit. There is no office in between, no skip
company, and no franchise cut coming out of what you pay.
It also means he will tell you when something isn't his job — a standing tree that
needs an arborist, or a pile that is more rubbish than garden — rather than taking the
money and leaving you with half a problem.
Green waste removal in Eaglemont — common questions
Yes. Eaglemont is on the regular route, along with Ivanhoe, Rosanna and Viewbank. Send the address and a photo or two for a price.
The price depends on how much there is and how far it has to be carried. A long carry up steps adds time, and the quote reflects that. Photos usually give Ross enough to price without a visit.
Yes, if they are already on the ground. Ross loads them by hand; if something is too big to lift, mention it with a photo and he will say whether he can take it.
Yes. Ross removes green waste, working carefully around the existing garden. For any tree removal or significant pruning, check with Banyule City Council first.
No. Only garden material is taken. Household items, renovation waste, rubble, soil, treated timber and anything that could contain asbestos aren't accepted. It's green waste removal, not general rubbish removal.

Thanks — that's gone through to Ross. Spring is his busiest time, so if it's close to fire season he may take a day or two.
